- In the next few years, 10 – 20% of patients will be cared for/seen at home instead of in the hospital. Only the sickest of the sick will be admitted into the hospital networks. Home patient care will be supported through virtual channels which could in turn provide expanded programming and monetization opportunities if a clear strategy is in place.
- The Mayo Clinic envisions discharging patients with medically tailored meals for two weeks and then transitioning to a produce food box program along with patient (recipes, storage, nutritional guidance, etc.).
